Machine tackles problem plant at agriculture event
A Japanese honeysuckle vine twisted its death grip around a cedar tree branch at Nancy Halcomb’s rural Lawrence County property, stretching up to snatch sunlight away from its host. But the invasive plant — quickly spreading in Missouri and the rest of the country — was no match for Steve Laughlin’s carbide-tipped shredder machine Tuesday.
